Grove City College is committed to being a leading entrepreneurship educator and program of distinction among faith-based private colleges. Surrounded by rich natural beauty and classic architecture, our emphasis on challenging academics and spiritual reflection create a special campus environment to explore the transformative power of entrepreneurship.
The Entrepreneurship Department, through its teaching, programs, and research, seeks to prepare and inspire principled, high-impact entrepreneurs whose innovations improve people’s lives and solve important problems. We provide students with the knowledge required to turn an idea into a sound, sustainable business opportunity within organizations large or small. Students develop an understanding of how to conceptualize, finance, launch, manage, grow, and harvest a wide variety of for-profit or not-for-profit ventures.
A distinctive feature of our program is the rigorous, scholarly examination of the ethical and life balance issues surrounding entrepreneurial life. The prominence of these issues within our curriculum reflects our desire to elevate the discussion of values, judgement and character within the field of entrepreneurship education.
We also strive to promote an entrepreneurial culture across the College through interdisciplinary collaborations, raising awareness among all Grove City students to the possibility of entrepreneurial activity as a choice at some point in their careers. As an example, the Entrepreneurship Department encourages invention and commercialization of technologies within Grove City College’s acclaimed computer science and engineering programs.
