Title: Camp Coordinator
Supervisor: Education Director
General Responsibilities: Responsible for the daily supervision and safety of a group of campers. Supervise any Job Training forBeaverCounty youth who are assigned to your camp.
Specific Duties: Assist Education Director with the selection of students for your program. Plan/develop and supervise the daily activities of the group to which you are assigned. Take daily attendance, ensure students fill out timesheets, and report absences daily to Education Director. Turn time sheets in to administrative assistant every Friday at the end of the day. Teach and supervise organized activities, games, sports, and field trip activities. Establish content-based criteria on which campers will be paid a stipend. Supervise students during the lunch period and assist with lunch distribution. Develop tasks for, supervise, and conduct ongoing evaluations of Job Training forBeaverCounty students, and administer all assessments and evaluations for your group. Report any illness or injury to Education Director. Contact parents as necessary regarding disciplinary concerns. Complete all other duties as described in this plan (safety plan) and any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be in the process of completing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area, or have other commensurate experience. Previous experience working with middle and high school youth of diverse populations is necessary. Ability to pass criminal background check, Pennsylvania child abuse clearance, and FBI clearance. Must have the ability to conduct organized activities, to teach and supervise Job Training of Beaver County staff and campers, and to schedule activities. Must have the energy, motivation, and skills needed to work with children in and out of doors, willingness to accept guidance and supervision, and a sense of patience and self-control. Previous camp experience is a plus. Other relevant skills include CPR/First Aid Certification, Life Guarding, Tutoring or Coaching, Advanced Scouting (Boy or Girl), etc.
