Built to Exit (builttoexit.biz)

A business operating system that empowers business owners to custom-tailor the exit of their company on their own terms.

Available positions at Built To Exit include:
  • Client Success and Business Operations Intern – Remote – 10 hrs/week
Client Success and Business Operations Intern

Location: Remote

Hours: 10 hours/week

Job Description:

Built To Exit (B2X) helps business owners design and execute exits on their own terms — whether that means selling to a professional buyer, building a business that does not need them day-to-day, or setting up a clean handoff to the next generation. Everyone exits their business eventually; we exist so owners control how that happens instead of leaving it to chance.

Why Intern With Us?

  • You will work directly with our Director of Operations and the consulting team, not off in a corner on busywork.
  • You will get a front-row seat to our Deep Dive process, the diagnostic work we do to figure out how exit-ready a client’s business actually is.
  • You will help build virtual data rooms — the same materials real buyers and PE firms comb through during due diligence.
  • You will have a hand in a live AI initiative we are rolling out internally, not a hypothetical classroom exercise.
  • Everything you touch is real client work, so your portfolio coming out of this internship will have some substance to it.

Responsibilities

  • Help keep client engagements on track — scheduling, follow-ups, status updates.
  • Keep our internal trackers and documentation current.
  • Help put together client-facing materials like reports, checklists, and presentation drafts, with guidance from the team.
  • Make sure client deliverables are organized and hitting deadlines.
  • Notice where our workflows are clunky and help us document a better way.
  • Handle some direct client communication — confirming meeting logistics, requesting documents — once a team lead has signed off.
  • Sit in on meetings and keep track of what was said and what needs to happen next.

We Want You If…

  • You write and speak clearly.
  • You are organized enough to juggle more than one thing without dropping the ball.
  • You can handle confidential client information with actual discretion.
  • You would rather ask a question than guess and get it wrong.
  • You are comfortable in Google Workspace.
  • Bonus if you have used AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Copilot — you will be using them here.

Our Culture

  • We take “giving power back to business owners” seriously — it is not a slogan.
  • Feedback here is direct. We will tell you what is working and what is not, plainly.
  • You earn more ownership as you show us you can be trusted with the details.
  • It is a small team, which means what you do actually gets noticed — for better or worse.

Though Wrinkly has been growing steadily over the past 4.5 years, the commercial launch of the classroom and fundraising features is recent.

            Responsibilities

            1. Grow awareness of the application, especially among K-12 schools and churches.
            2. Understand which growth strategies are most effective for the new target demographics.

The main ministry of Wrinkly is to keep the Bible and app access free and available to the vast majority of users.  If you are a high-initiative worker who loves to try new things, are outgoing and people-focused, and have a passion both for spreading the Gospel and for marketing, this is a great team to join!

            Internship Goals

            • Complete market research to determine the best channels for advertising and acquiring new users (free and paid).
            • Propose and implement new marketing strategies and analyze results to determine which channels are most effective.
            • Gain users quickly to 5x our MAU count by June 1, 2027.
            • Determine which online platforms are best for our app and establish a compelling social-media presence with consistent posts that provide value to users and non-users alike (e.g. passage of the day, Bible facts, etc.)
            • Carry out A/B tests on several advertising campaigns to measure efficacy ahead of 2027 push for paid accounts.
            • Establish social-media presence on multiple distinct platforms.  (Platforms to be determined.)
            • Earn 800+ followers across all social-media accounts.

            Learning Opportunities

During this placement with Wrinkly, greater ownership of and autonomy in the day-to-day work is encouraged.  We expect a lot of questions and learning at the beginning of the internship (and throughout!) while we simultaneously encourage curiosity and outside-the-box thinking in the marketing role.

As such, fellows will get a lot of hands-on experience working on a proven product in a new space which allows for a high degree of initiative and adaptability as we learn how the market responds to our offerings.

            Shop Olive (shopolive.co)

Uses 3D body scanning and data-driven technology to deliver better-fitting clothing.

Available positions at Shop Olive include:
            • Data Support Intern – Remote – 10 hrs/week
            Data Analytics Intern

            Location: Remote

            Hours: 10 hours/week

            Job Description:

Olive is looking for an entrepreneurial, data-curious intern to join our founding team as we build the data infrastructure behind autonomous, custom-fit garment production. Our core solution draws on hundreds of data points pulled from customer body scans and our proprietary patterns to generate a fully custom garment alteration without a human tailor in the loop. This role is intentionally broad: we want someone excited to work inside an early-stage product development process and help us bring structure to our data organization, modeling, and infrastructure as we build our first garment from the ground up.

You’ll work directly with Olive’s founding team to help turn raw scan data into a usable, centralized system. Depending on your skills and how our development progresses, this could include:

            • Helping design and build a data “hub” that organizes and displays individual customer measurements pulled from multiple data sources
            • Supporting the transition of our early data models and guidelines onto our new hardware system
            • Migrating data from our earliest scans into our new system
            • Organizing, cleaning, and maintaining our growing data sets as our system evolves
            • Problem-solving alongside us as we turn 2D scan data into 3D, made-to-measure garments

No two weeks will look exactly the same, but you’ll be a real contributor to Olive’s core infrastructure.

Grove City Olde Town Pop Up – Becoming Broad

Creating pop-up experiences in downtown Grove City to explore what students want in a future gathering space.

                Available positions include:
                • Event + Operations Lead – Remote – 10 hrs/week
                • Business Strategy Lead – Remote – 10 hrs/week
                • Marketing + Outreach Lead – Remote – 10 hrs/week
                Event + Operations Lead

                Location: Remote

                Hours: 10 hours/week

                Job Description:

Becoming Broad is a student-run venture that creates live experiences in downtown Grove City, built in partnership with the businesses and organizations operating on Broad Street. E+I Fellows will spend the fall in consultation with downtown operators, property owners, campus organizations, and community stakeholders, learning what brings people to Broad Street, what the operators need, and where the gaps and opportunities are. They will then design, plan, and launch a program of experiences in the spring.

This Fellow makes things actually happen. The role is closest to production: concept, logistics, run-of-show, and the hundred small decisions between an idea and a room with people in it. Not every experiment is an event — one may be a sign-up page or a hand-run dinner for twelve — but every one has to be designed, built, and put in front of real people. In a short term the measure of success is not polish but how quickly things get out the door.

                Responsibilities

                • Design each experiment: what it tests, what happens, and what makes it worth someone’s time.
                • Own logistics — setup, teardown, equipment, permits, food coordination, and host requirements.
                • Recruit and coordinate performers, vendors, and volunteers.
                • Build a run-of-show for every public event and a written debrief for every experiment.
                • Assemble a reusable pop-up kit and the beginnings of the process playbook.

                Who this suits

Open to all majors. The work rewards someone who likes making things happen in the physical world, is comfortable with a plan that changes the day of, and would rather ship something imperfect than plan something perfect. Experience running events, performing, producing, or organizing student activities is a plus but not required.

                Measurable goals

                • Design and run at least 2 validation experiments, at least one of them a public pop-up event. A third if the term allows.
                • Produce a written debrief for every experiment within one week, stating what was assumed and what was learned.
                • Build a pop-up kit — signage, lighting, sound, seating plan, and setup checklist — that a new team member could deploy without supervision.
                • Recruit at least 4 performers, vendors, or volunteers across the term.
                • Hold cost at or under an agreed per-experiment ceiling, set with the Business Lead in week 2.
                Business Strategy Lead

                Location: Remote

                Hours: 10 hours/week

                Job Description:

Becoming Broad is a student-run venture that creates live experiences in downtown Grove City, built in partnership with the businesses and organizations operating on Broad Street. They will then design, plan, and launch a program of experiences in the spring.

                Responsibilities

                • Establish the downtown foot-traffic baseline before anything runs.
                • Capture cost, attendance, and result data for every experiment.
                • Maintain the project budget and track spending against the grant.
                • Draft the graduating-events rubric and the business cases behind it.
                • Assess revenue models — hosting fees, ticketing, sponsorship, meal credits — for local feasibility.
                • Prepare the material for grant reporting and the business case for the spring launch.

                Who this suits

Open to all majors. The work rewards someone precise about numbers, willing to count things by hand in cold weather, and able to explain what a number means rather than only what it is. Interest in finance, economics, data, or operations is a plus but not required.

                Measurable goals

                • Capture a downtown foot-traffic baseline across at least two days and two time bands before the first experiment.
                • Produce unit economics for every experiment, complete within one week.
                • Build a spring budget and calendar with cost estimates for at least six events.
                • Draft a graduating-events rubric with attendance and cost-recovery thresholds proposed to Robb.
                • Deliver a business case for the recommended spring program, including at least two revenue scenarios.
                • Assess at least 2 revenue models in use at comparable organizations for feasibility in Grove City.
                Marketing + Outreach Lead

                Location: Remote

                Hours: 10 hours/week

                Job Description:

Becoming Broad is a student-run venture that creates live experiences in downtown Grove City, built in partnership with the businesses and organizations operating on Broad Street. E+I Fellows will spend the fall in consultation with downtown operators, property owners, campus organizations, and community stakeholders, learning what brings people to Broad Street, what the operators need, and where the gaps and opportunities are. They will then design, plan, and launch a program of experiences in the spring.

This Fellow owns the relationships the project runs on. Nothing else in Becoming Broad happens without a downtown operator willing to host, a landlord willing to open a door, a student group willing to show up, or a community organization willing to lend its name. The role is part research, part outreach, and part account management. No prior experience is assumed. The interview guide, note template, and target list are provided, and each new kind of conversation is rehearsed beforehand and debriefed afterward — but the conversations themselves belong to the Fellow.

                Responsibilities

                • Maintain the master list of downtown operators, property owners, campus organizations, faculty contacts, and community groups.
                • Conduct structured consultation conversations and write them up in a form the rest of the team and the next cohort can use.
                • Convert interested operators and landlords into confirmed hosts, and interested student groups into partners.
                • Own promotion and audience-building for each public experiment.
                • Serve as the project’s single point of contact downtown, so no operator is approached by three different students in one week.

                Who this suits

Open to all majors. The work rewards someone comfortable starting conversations with strangers, willing to follow up more than once, and organized enough to keep notes that someone else can use. Interest in small business, community development, marketing, or journalism is a plus but not required. Not all candidates will meet every element of this description; apply if several match your abilities or your interests.

                Measurable goals

                • Complete 12 structured consultations: at least 5 with downtown operators, 2 with property owners, 3 with campus organizations or faculty, and 2 with community organizations or residents.
                • Secure at least 2 partner commitments — a named organization, a named contact, and a date or a stated willingness to hold one.
