With any project that one undertakes, there is rarely one that does not begin with unbridled confidence and optimism that gives way to the reality of the work that needs to be completed.

Over the last couple of weeks we have been able to make tremendous progress with our vehicle and with Riot RC. Thankfully with a project of this undertaking we were able to approach it from the perspective that some of the work would take longer than expected. This is a notion that previous and current projects I have worked on sometimes lack. Thankfully all team members have been on board since the beginning by taking a slow and steady approach and making sure we get the tech just right. There can be a danger to taking this approach as well, as those in the tech industry could attest to, because technology advances and changes so quickly.

British businessman and billionaire Sir Philip Green once said, “Good, bad or indifferent, if you are not investing in new technology, you are going to be left behind.” Luckily, because of the niche market that we are currently in, there have been very few innovations in the last decade and it gives us room to take a more research type approach to the project.

In the coming weeks we will begin to evaluate where we want to go with the idea, and whether it can be monetized and developed into a further business. Sometimes slow and steady CAN win the technology race.
