“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” – Maya Angelou

Haiti is a country that has undergone much turmoil in the past 526 years since Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492 and discovered the island of Hispaniola.  The country as a whole lives in shambles.  From nutrition to government – Haiti needs help.  Individuals that visit the country refer to it as “a special kind of terrible”.

In addition to a wide range of problems, Haiti is also 70% deforested.  Once a lush, tropical ecosystem, Haiti is turning into a desert.  In fact, the country now looks like the below picture.

There is only one way to fix this problem in specific.  Plant more trees!

Té Amo raises the funds to plant trees in Haiti by selling some pretty bomb tea.  Many samplers and purchasers of the tea alike tend to ask “how”?

Through a partnership with HaitiFriends, a non-profit tree planting organization, we worked out the funds to plant a tree for every bottle sold. #BuyATeaPlantATree

So far we have planted 1,800 trees in the deforested Artibonite Valley.
