Social Enterprise Internships in Beaver County, PA


Interested in social enterprise? Urban ministry? Turning crazy ideas into purpose driven projects? Then please consider coming to intern during the summer of 2020 in Beaver County, PA. A small but mighty network of startup nonprofits are looking for some Grover ingenuity to help us move forward a handful of projects dealing with marketing, advertising, research, planning, web design, and more.

The primary charge for this internship would be to work with eQuip Books, a social enterprise in the heart of downtown Aliquippa. But, additional opportunities to partner with several affiliated nonprofits are also available, as time and interest allows. Interns will be part of a larger cohort of university students from around the county who come every year to conduct urban ministry and community development in the city of Aliquippa. A modest stipend of $1,200 will be provided, along with glowing letters of recommendation, awesome experiences, and great relationships. It is also possible that housing may be included, though this cannot be guaranteed until the 1st quarter of 2020.

Summary: This hands-on internship will provide you with experience in all aspects of a growing business.

Projects include: Collaborating in the development of marketing strategy for new product.

Collecting quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns.

Performing market analysis and research on competition.

Supporting the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.


Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Generates reports and briefings using available data systems like Americommerce, Facebook analytics, Instagram analytics and Google analytics.*
  2. Collaborates with the CEO for brand strategy for new products and executes assignments in a timely manner.*
  3. Assists in photographing and editing pictures for marketing materials and social media posts .*
  4. Supports the sales team by organizing documents, sending samples/materials, and miscellaneous clerical tasks on an as-needed basis.*
  5. Files correspondence and documents as necessary.*
  6. Ensures that the office and break room areas are kept clean and organized.
  7. Runs miscellaneous errands as needed.
