Internship Opportunity with GCC Alum!
What you’ll do
As the Community + Marketing Intern, you will wear many hats and get the opportunity to help with a
wide range of projects. This role is perfect for someone who likes the idea of learning about how the
startup ecosystem and the platform community functions, and is ideal for someone who can juggle and
prioritize multiple tasks.
● Owning the logistics and execution of all social media curation, and collaborating with the Parenthood
team on content.
● Supporting the Parenthood Ventures Slack community through thoughtful engagement and providing
resources to frequently asked questions. Collaborating on a community health survey, as well as
synthesizing the data into a report.
● Engaging in marketing efforts, including planning and drafting of blog posts focused on the ParentTech
space, compiling a database of potential sponsors/affiliates, and engaging with the Parenthood team on
ideation for future marketing plans.
● Supporting the maintenance and growth of our technology and resource stack for our Founders.
● Building out a recommended list of advisors involved in FamTech, as well as collaborating on a
framework for a mentor program.
What we’re looking for:
● Someone who is passionate about building the future of community. You love making
connections and engaging folks in conversation, and understand how to synthesize and communicate
effectively, but with empathy.
● An empath who is energized by empowering others. You’ve got a knack for seeing an opportunity to
engage our community. You aren’t afraid to get involved in conversations, and you also know when to
ask for help when you don’t have the right answers.
● Someone who is excited about startups and entrepreneurship. You have a solid grasp of the
startup ecosystem, and you’re interested in building out an understanding of the FamTech space.
● An agile teammate who thrives working in a highly independent role, who has the ability to prioritize
multiple projects at once. And you’re also comfortable with a variety of tools such as: Google Suite,
Canva, Easil, Airtable.
This part-time position is unpaid, remote, and has flexible start and end dates between June and August

About Parenthood Ventures
Parenthood Ventures is an incubator program for FamTech founders: i.e., anyone solving the needs of
parents, from fertility to teens; from employee benefits to apps to toys. Our growing community exists to
elevate the next generation of ParentTech founders and provide resources in their journey from early stage
to venture-backed companies.
Our program is committed to diversity, and solving the needs of families of all forms, including (but not
limited to): LGBTQ parents; parents via adoption / surrogacy / fertility treatments; families with support
from nannies, grandparents; to families managing complex medical needs.
Location: Seattle, WA or Remote

By the Book is an organization takes books and chapters of the Bible and puts them to music videos enabling children to memorize books of the Bible quickly. We have four-year-olds memorizing and understanding 50 verses in 3 months.
The By the Book internship is an intense missionally based Summer program where interns gain academic credit and hands on experience in their major, while using their skills to serve Christ through spreading God’s word. Interns will be immersed in scripture, prayer and a supportive community as we are all led by the craziness of Christ.
Interns will be living, working, praying, studying God’s word together as one body in Christ. All interns will be quarantining as one household and will follow COVID safety precautions and regulations.

About Folds of Honor Western Pa.
Since 2007, Folds of Honor has carried forth this singular, noble mission: To provide educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service-members.
Folds of Honor is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, rated a four-star charity by Charity Navigator and platinum on Guide Star, that provides educational scholarships to the families of military men and women who have fallen or been disabled while on active duty in the United States armed forces. Our educational scholarships support private educational tuition and tutoring for children in grades K-12, as well as higher education tuition assistance for spouses and dependents.
The Western Pa. Chapter was founded in 2019 to provide scholarships to students in Western Pa. by serving two roles: developing donations through events, online campaigns and other means; and to create awareness about the Folds of Honor scholarship programs in the military community, media and general public.
Intern/Marketing Assistant Job Description (paid position)
The marketing assistant will work on projects for the chapter for a fixed fee. The position is virtual and work will be conducted on the marketing assistant’s schedule. Regular check in calls/virtual meetings will be scheduled with chapter officers. The marketing assistant will submit invoices for payment for each project. Terms to be determined.
Project Goals/Deliverables: help create and launch marketing tactics for the chapter as detailed below.
