What drives an entrepreneur?
- Those driven by merely a desire to make money will fail. It is one thing to strive for wealth to obtain the things you want but in reality, you don’t “want money” you want the things money can be exchanged for.
- The most successful entrepreneurs strive for something greater than money… a mission behind their endeavor. This can be a social mission, a will to better humanity with advancing society, a desire to instill valuable lessons in a family business to your children – among many other drivers of the entrepreneur.
Who is flocking to this trade?
- When specifically looking at the internet entrepreneur, overwhelmingly we see millennials flocking to the digital business form versus its terrestrial counterpart. In a world filled with technology, there is a shift to online stores that are not bound by limited traditional geofences, significant costs of property: inventory, property and employees… making it increasingly easier to start a business with low overhead.
What are some things they have in common?
- Curiosity to discover new things – Finding something others need…
- Patience – Staying hopeful even when things don’t seem to be going anywhere…
- Persistence – Not listening to doubters – but absolutely listening to critiques…
- Perseverance – Get back up when you fall down, pivoting when needed…
- Guidance – From mentors and giving to those in your business…
- Faith – Because God only gives you things He knows you can overcome…
